The second set of funds just went out yesterday!

Co Founder Fred Cornforth recommended we send funds to help long time friend Reggie King in his mission to build an orphanage in Haiti through their group:  www.haitimissionoutreach.org.

Merv Evenel, longtime associate of Reggie King and HMO, requested that HMO assist him in erecting a much needed orphanage on land he owns in Bisoton, near Carrefour. They plan to install a metal building on his property and it will house orphans that are now sleeping on the street.

Both of our funds distributions this year were in response to the Haiti earthquake crisis. The first round we were able to contribute to a matching challenge that ulitmately sent $22,460 to Friends of The Orphans in Haiti.

Both of these donations happened without even touching the money we raised last year. I almost have to pinch myself, but it’s true. We actually have more funds in our account than we started with when we began distributing in response to the Haiti crisis. Is this a miracle? I think so.

And of course, both of the funds distributions are in keeping with our mission, to help existing organizations raise funds for building projects that better serve the orphans in their care.
